For its 5th edition, the Biennale de Caen invites Jean-Paul Viguier for a debate with Xavier Gonzalès (architect) and Guy Tapie (sociologist) on the topic of urban centers. Amongst the questions that will be adressed are: the making of cities and their necessary restructuration, urban density and the desertification of urban centers, sustainable cities, intense and joyous cities...
Installé place du Capitole, Toulouse 2030 invite à découvrir sous une spectaculaire canopée l’évolution de la ville et de son agglomération à travers des expositions, des conférences, des ateliers… afin de donner des clés permettant de comprendre l’évolution de Toulouse et sa métropole aujourd’hui et demain.
La conférence de clôture pose la question "En 2030, à quoi ressemblera la Métropole toulousaine?" à laquelle Jean-Paul Viguier tentera de répondre en compagnie de Jean-Luc Moudenc (Toulouse Métropole), Alain Seyries (Sicoval) et Nicolas Gilsoul (Architecte).
Conference: Innovation Day by IOT Valley, Labège

Conference Make City Festival, Berlin
Laura Gelso, associate architect, will present the IOT Valley (Labège, France) at the Make City Festival in Berlin, an trandisciplinary event where architects, city planners, local representatives and designers meet to design the future smart cities. The presentation of the IOT Valler will take place during the Campus Urbanism discussion at the Czech Cultural Center.
Conference World of Facades, Paris
Frédéric Morel, associate architect, will represent Jean-Paul Viguier et Associés à the World of Facades internation forum in Paris. His presentation will take place during the segment called "Facade ventilation: Reducing mechanical ventilation through smarter building envelopes". The conference will be held in French.
Forum BIMOC 2018, Dijon
BIM et Objets Connectés, Dijon
Launched in 2016, BIMOC is the first forum dedicated to the extension of BIM usage (Building Information Modeling) and connected objects with the objective to develop smart cities and buildings. Samuel Locus, BIM Manager at Jean-Paul Viguier et Associé will present the practice's projects using this process.

Opening BEYOND - Palazzo Bembo, Venice
Jean-Paul Viguier et Associés joins the GAA Foundation and the European Cultural Centre for the exhibition «Time, Space, Existence».
On the occasion of the Venice Architecture Biennale, this exhibition is designed as an overview of the current architectural production and presents works by international architectures practices and universities.
Under the title Beyond, four of the practice’s most iconic projects will be presented. Four projects aiming to question and overcome the formal, functionnal and economical constraints of architecture. Four projects aiming to go beyond the limits.
